A Modern Romantic Styled Shoot
Hello there! We are The Blueprint Allure, and we would love to welcome you to our first styled shoot blog!
With the help from vendors all across the St. Louis area, we were able to create a modern and romantic styled shoot at Lumen in Downtown St. Louis. We chose a color palette including shades of pink with a main focus of marsala which was seen throughout the reception linens from BBJ Linens and breathtaking floral arrangements.
Jenny from Stems included gorgeous pink roses, calla lilies, ranunculus, Queen Anne’s lace, orchids and marsala succulents to create one of our favorite elements of the shoot, a loose, cascading bouquet. She brought together the end of winter with the beginning of spring into all of her arrangements. Her creativity showed no bounds when she brought out her hand crocheted wire headpiece. Adding bits of Queen Anne’s lace to the crown brought elegance and grace to our model, Erica’s, ensemble.
She was dressed in two Stella York gowns from Signature Bridal - a modern gown with a sweetheart neckline adorned with pockets. It was accessorized with a laced three-quarter sleeved bolero jacket! The second dress was a classic gown with a-neckline with a thicker-textured lace overlay that created a romantic atmosphere in the reception space.
Emily Miller brought her expertise with her on-the-spot hair and makeup skills. She transformed Erica with an effortless dark purple lip and regal curls while staying gentle on the eyes to let the floral wire headpiece shine through. Erica was a vision posing in front of the paper flower wall created by KayVyCrafts. Attached to a hand sewn satin blush fabric, the paper flower wall was the perfect backdrop for our shoot.
Ericka from The Cakery Bakery transformed buttercream into a ruffled masterpiece on a two tiered cake. Jenny from Stems topped the cake with an assortment of Queen Anne's lace and roses. The design of icing brought together the feminine and romantic atmosphere throughout this styled shoot.
To bring everything together, Jen from Pretty Together designed unique customized stationary. With every invitation, menu card and escort card, Jen went outside the box in her creations by using hand chisled chocolate blocks from Bissingers. This brought a rare look to the overall design.
We could not have ended with such a fabulous product without the talent of every vendor who contributed to our styled shoot. With the help from Lumen, we were all able to use our imagination and create beautifully unlimited designs. Stay tuned for our upcoming blog posts about everything weddings!
